74th Annual De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce Banquet

Hundreds of local leaders, business owners and residents gathered for the event where entertainment was provided by the De Queen High School Jazz Band and awards were presented by the chamber board members.

Aliyah Anderson also represented District IV as an officer this year and Amy Newton for singing the National Anthem at the General Session.

Congratulations to the following FBLA Ashdown High School students who competed in District IV Competition held at USCCH in Hope on February 5th. Henderson students were able to participate in the k-12 Culinary Connection Jr. Chef Program. Students, one from each class donned chef hats and made their own 7 inch pizzas. Students were taught about proper hand washing, cooking techniques while making their pizzas, and learned about nutrition facts while the pizzas baked. Chef Justin Mills of k-12 Culinary Connection said, "the Jr. Chef Program was to get kids cooking and teach them how to eat healthy.” The students were presented a certificate and enjoyed watermelon, apples, and their freshly baked homemade pizzas.


The Little River County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Membership and Awards Banquet on Thursday, February 7, 2019 in the Barbara Horn Civic Center on the UA Cossatot Ashdown Campus.

Several hundred people were present to enjoy the steak or chicken dinner, entertainment provided by the Ashdown Drama Club, and visit with their friends.
