The De Queen Health & Wellness Walk-In Family Clinic offers a professional and qualified nursing staff with over 40 years of combined skill and experience in providing patient care. The clinic recently welcomed Nurse Practitioner La Donna Dorsey to the staff. Dorsey, along side Nurse Practitioners Claire Russell and Kay Shelton, are dedicated to providing patients with excellent medical care and patient service. Owner Chester Barber said the clinic prides itself on not just the care it provides, but the attention to patient convenience as well. Medication refill requests and prior authorizations are handled promptly so patients will not have to wait long to get their routine medications. When you're sick, you may not be able to wait several days to get an appointment, so the clinic offers same day care for most medical services. Appointments are also available by calling (870) 642-2000. The clinic is now scheduling back to school physicals. Most third party insurances as well as Medicaid and Medicare are welcomed. The Howard County Memorial Hospital's out-patient x-ray facility, De Queen Pediatrics and Health and Wellness Pharmacy and De Queen Dental are easily accessible to one another at the clinic's 1357 West Collin Ray Drive location. Sevier County
Museum
The Mission of the Sevier County Museum is to reflect the history of this county in such a way as to evoke pride in past achievements and perpetuate the unique heritage of Sevier County. The scope is a full-faceted look at Sevier County’s agriculture, railroad, lumber and mining industries, the school systems, courts, churches, fraternal orders, doctors, lawyers, business man, the involvement in Civil War, Spanish American War, World War I, War with Mexico, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and Gulf War. The museum was established in 1986 and is a non-profit organization. Additional exhibits on display include local natural resources, a model of old De Queen, the Children's Corner and more. Find out how to support the museum through the $10 a Month Club. The annual Hoo Rah Days Festival, which honors the history of Sevier County and its people, is held the first Saturday in October. The Treasure Chest and Company at 227 Highway 71 North in De Queen hosts over 30 vendors with a wide range of items, including collectible vintage items ranging from Pokemon to Nascar, crafts, homemade soaps and lotions, jewelry, antique clocks, coins, furniture, appliances, tools, knives, fishing and hunting gear, clothes and more. You might just find the start of your next Pinterest project. The Treasure Chest and Company is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. New Member – The De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday to welcome Mary P.O.P.S. Family Restaurant in De Queen as the newest member of the chamber. Owners Pedro and Maria Sanchez recently expanded their restaurant, now operating locations in Horatio and De Queen. Mary P.O.P.S. offers Mexican and American cuisine as well as pasta and steaks.
